Sakura

桜 桜
弥生の空は...

Here are a few photos of our sakura (Japanese blossoming cherry) trees this spring. It's going to be really cool when these babies are 30' tall...







This has nothing to do with sakura, but here is a raccoon that was wandering around our deck a few weeks ago.

Oh, I love the pictures, it brings back childhood memories of spring in Japan. I think I want one of those for my yard. How did you get such a great picture of that racoon?

Emi, you'll have to come over in a few years when they get bigger and we can have a hanami party! The raccoon picture was mostly luck. It was dark and he kept moving around, and it was nearly impossible to focus. I took about 20, and just got a handful of passable shots.
