Vacation (Japan 2018, part 1)
We took a trip to Japan this spring. Yumiko left April 29, the day after we got Daniel back from school. Andrew went over on May 2, and Daniel and I on May 3. The evening we all got there (Friday, May 4) we had a delicious dinner of 海老フライ (fried prawns).
Everyone was tired and enjoyed relaxing with their electronics.
Saturday we walked around the Kinshicho area, did some shopping, and hung out at Kinshi Park.
In the evening we went to Nabezo for some shabu-shabu.
Sunday morning we went to church in the Fuchu Ward. There were a lot of people I remember from long, long ago. Bro. Takahashi, who was there when I was, publishes a monthly ward newsletter. We got interviewed for it and appeared in a brief writeup.
Sunday afternoon Yumiko's brother, Uncle Hideki, came to visit with two of his kids. We went for a drive, and wandered around Odaiba for a while.
A sign for a Sendai-themed restaurant. Lisa would have been excited. :)
Time to head home.
In the evening we had 焼き肉 with everybody that was there. It was fun, and delicious.
