Come clean

For a school project Daniel had to come up with an advertising campaign for a made-up product.  As part of it, he created the following TV commercial:

It's kind of hard to see, but the cleaning pad on the bottom of the car really is mopping up the spilled water.

He did all the work himself -- came up with the concept, wrote the script, ran the camera, acted, did the special effects, picked the music, and did all the editing.

Goin' to the Dance With You (Sweethearts 3 of 3)

And finally, some photos of Andrew before the Sweethearts' Dance.

Here is Abby pinning on the boutonniere.

Yumiko provides some help.

Andrew puts on the wrist corsage.

Ready to go!

The group got together at the State Capital building for photos.

The father of one of the girls in the group is a professional photographer, so he shot nice pictures of the group and of each couple.

Sparkle (Sweethearts 2 of 3)

In the evening, after all the slipping and sliding and other adventures, everybody dressed up and got together again for photos.

Being an evening in February, we were trying to shoot in near total darkness, and it didn't work very well.  One needs to be a better photographer than I to get good photos in such lighting.

It was also really cold, but they toughed it out.

First, Lisa's small group.

Isn't she cute?

Buddies.  Of course, it was really cold, so this may have also had something to do with trying to keep from freezing.

Normally, I'm not a big fan of the "desaturated with color accents" look, but the photo above just seemed to call out for such a treatment.  So, I gave it a shot.  What do you think?

Then the whole group gathered at our neighbor's house for photos.  This is the only one I got of the full group that turned out reasonably well.

Somebody had the bright idea of taking photos with sparklers.  That's a really cute notion, but again turns out to be much easier said than done.  Here are the best.  (In case you can't tell, they're trying to frame themselves with a heart.)

They also had a bunch of Christmas lights.  We tried a few shots with those, too.

Slip Slidin' Away (Sweethearts 1 of 3)

For the Sweethearts' dance "day activity," Lisa's group went up to a snow tubing hill in Garden Valley.

It was a pretty nice place.  The runs were about 900 feet long, with six lanes, and a rope tow to pull sliders up to the top of the runs.

Here's the group that rode up with Lisa.

And here's the whole group.

And here are some random photos of Lisa.

Plus a few bonus photos of others in the group.

I think she had a good time. :)
