In the evening, after all the slipping and sliding and other adventures, everybody dressed up and got together again for photos.
Being an evening in February, we were trying to shoot in near total darkness, and it didn't work very well. One needs to be a better photographer than I to get good photos in such lighting.
It was also really cold, but they toughed it out.
First, Lisa's small group.
Isn't she cute?
Buddies. Of course, it was really cold, so this may have also had something to do with trying to keep from freezing.
Normally, I'm not a big fan of the "desaturated with color accents" look, but the photo above just seemed to call out for such a treatment. So, I gave it a shot. What do you think?
Then the whole group gathered at our neighbor's house for photos. This is the only one I got of the full group that turned out reasonably well.
Somebody had the bright idea of taking photos with sparklers. That's a really cute notion, but again turns out to be much easier said than done. Here are the best. (In case you can't tell, they're trying to frame themselves with a heart.)
They also had a bunch of Christmas lights. We tried a few shots with those, too.
