At our kids' high school, the week after Prom is "Morp," which is kind of the opposite -- a casual, girl-ask-guy dance.
Lisa asked a friend who plays with her in the school orchestras. She got a loaf of Wonder bread, used cookie cutters to cut the letters of her name out of slices of bread, and put them back in the bag. Then she attached a note that said, "It would be WONDERful if you would go to Morp with me," and dropped it off on his front porch.
A few days the following response arrived:

Unfortunately, the dance was the same night as Daniel's end-of-season soccer party at our house, so we weren't able to go take pictures. Here are a couple from someone else:
