Merry-Go-Round

After the BYU-BSU game, we went to the house we were staying at, which was near the point of the mountain.

It was a fairly new, pretty nice house.

This is the main living room upstairs, where many of the kids spent much time playing video games.

The kitchen.

The theater room in the basement, where the teenagers hung out mostly, annoying the younger kids by not letting them in. They also slept here.

The walk-in closet in the master bedroom had an air mattress on the floor. That's where I crashed.

Being near the point of the mountain, we had a good view of the hang gliders and parasailers in the morning.

Saturday morning went to Lagoon. I hadn't been since I was little, going with Grandpa Dean. I don't know if it's changed a lot or if I just don't remember anything about it. Probably both.

Daniel mostly roamed around with the other kids his age -- a flock of free-range teenagers.

They have some pretty large roller coasters, but having ridden some world class stuff in Japan, Daniel wasn't all that impressed.

I mostly wandered around taking pictures.

They also had some really big stuff, like the slingshot that shoots you hundreds of feet up...

And a gigantic swing that pulls you way up in the air and then lets you go.

Being right before Halloween, there were a lot of spook alley type attractions set up (which I avoided), and people in costume running around scaring people. They also had a Halloween-ish themed band playing.

We stayed until it was fairly late and cold. It was pretty at night, too.

Sunday morning we packed up, got ready for church, and headed out. We stopped in Willard and went to church there before pointing the caravan back to Boise.
