Sunday, August 7. We got up, packed, and checked out of our Sendai hotel.
We stashed most of the luggage in coin lockers at the train station, then headed for church in Nagamachi.
Lisa had a good time visiting with friends and members there, including Endo-san, who was the one who took us to Zao-san the previous day.
After church, we had some time, so we got lunch (ramen), and then wandered around a bit more looking at the matsuri decorations. Between the two days, we probably saw about 2/3 of the decorated shopping arcade.
There were quite a few people walking around in pretty kimono.

These were pretty cool -- they were made entirely of folded cranes, tens, maybe even hundreds, of thousands of them. Wow!

After a bit of walking around, it was time to collect our bags and bid farewell to Sendai. On to the next adventure!
