Daniel wasn't very interested in asking a girl to the Homecoming dance, but then a group of his friends decided they were going to go together, and he kind of got pulled into it and warmed up to the idea.
He borrowed the "'yes' written on a little rock, 'no' written on a big rock" idea somebody used on Lisa a couple of years ago. The girl he asked decided to up the ante when it came time to respond -- she left the wheelbarrow below on our driveway.
Digging down to the bottom there was this note:
And mixed in among the large rocks there were some small ones.
So, the day of the event finally came. The kids in their group (along with at least a hundred from other groups) gathered at the Scentsy Commons to take pictures.
First, the traditional "try to pin on the flower, then give up and ask mom" scene.
Yumiko made the corsage for Riley.
It was a large group.
They all seemed to be good kids who got a long well together.
They had fun mixing and matching to take photos.
The guys, trying to do a creative pose.
The girls doing likewise.
They were enjoying themselves.
Daniel and Riley carried on with the "rock" theme.
Photobombing Scott and Skylar.
The "Asian" photo.
The whole group again.
Catching some air.
The other "Asian" photo.
Three amigos.
A good time was had by all.
