On his birthday Yumiko made chicken katsu. It was really good.
Daniel tried to dodge the camera.
We also went out for some teppanyaki. Everyone enjoyed it a lot.

The chef made Andrew a "birthday candle" and we all sang to him.
Andrew's cake. The theme is perhaps a bit obscure, but right now he's really into the video game Minecraft.

Happy birthday, Andrew! I can't believe he's 17! I remember the day he was born.
you're making me hungry.... that chicken katsu does look good.... i can't believe he's 17 either! i babysat a toddler-sized rachel while you went to the hospital to have him! and that was pre-mission! yikes!
